We’re kinda obsessed with DIY everything these days, and with that, DIY crochet jewelry and accessories have become one of the funnest things to create and accessorize, and now crochet jewelry is a little modern item to add to all your favorite styles.
“DeiSenyo” means God’s design, inspired by the beauty of God’s work, which is reflected in the work of man’s hand.
A community development project that started with a plan to provide livelihood ideas for a tribe in Palawan. They offer handmade accessories like necklace, earsavers, bookmarks, and of course our favorite items, their earrings that hope to inspire Filipino creativity and “bayanihan”. They are great for gifting, and selling at craft fairs too!
The creative behind DeiSenyo is Ms. Deifilia Janelle from Cebu, Philippines. She supervised primary pupils and classrooms in TLE as a volunteer teacher at Palawan. She held plenary sessions in basic crochet techniques and handcrafted accessories for those classes, which will hopefully be more than just a hobby for the students and even the neighbors who might benefit from this kind of income. It was just a TLE class that turned into a bigger project.

It has sold about 200 pairs since 2020, as well as five exhibits at various Cebu events. One of their goals is to expand their products and services, with a focus on handcrafted and locally produced items to promote Filipino creativity.
